Cumberland City Gypsum is currently recruiting for a Part Time Apprentice to learn and support various areas of the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value, strive to obtain a thorough understanding of troubleshooting, and work together as part of a Team to exceed production expectations for the shift. The candidate must be self-driven and contribution motivated and will be partnered with a mentor and/or trainer to guide the learning journey.
Our Team
This role will report to the Operations Manager and requires a Part Time shift. This role will work an average of at least 20 hours per week or minimum of 80 hours per month. Hourly rate for this role is $18 per hour
What You Will Do
- Correctly choose and wear personal protection equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Assist crew members and work in a team environment
- Utilize basic computer, networking and Microsoft skills
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits and control devices
- Read assembly drawings, schematics, and equipment layouts
- Understand and use data to improve productivity
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in or registering for a degree or certification in Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Multicraft or Mechatronics with an accredited technical or college program.
- Experience with written and verbal communication in a work or school environment
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Experience learning new technology.
